I am currently working from home, as most of us. Everyday life has a new shape and rhythm, within which I am finding creativity and space. Here is what I am up to at the moment, and within the next few months.
INDOORS, my new dance film, was created as a response to the shift of perception of time that arose from the COVID-19 quarantine.
Spheres of Singing is a conference intending to celebrate the diversity in the research and practice of singing and song, and will take place (online) in Glasgow, in May 2020. I have been invited to present “In Between the Harmonies”, where I will discuss the vital role I believe harmonies in song can play in the ways we understand and relate to each other. As part of this paper, I will reflect on my experience of leading Glasgow based community choir Govanhill Voices.
