I am a performer and maker with background in dance-theatre, devised theatre, socially engaged theatre, polyphonic singing and improvisation. Originally from Greece, I lives in West Yorkshire and work across the North of England and Scotland as a freelance practitioner and part-time lecturer at Leeds Beckett University. I am an associate artist of SBC Theatre company and company member of Speedwell Dance. I am also a founding member and the Artistic Director of improvisation platform ICEBERG.
DANCE-THEATRE:
My work is rooted in play and draws on my wide range of disciplines. Incorporating dance, theatre and music, I create interdisciplinary work that incorporates choreography, live music and storytelling. The themes of my work begin from my experiences of being a woman, mother, migrant in the UK and can go anywhere! Through making and performing, I hope that I will evoke pertinent discussions between the work and my audiences.

VOICE:
Combining elements from a variety of somatic and vocal practices, through my vocal practice, I supports individuals to tend to the well-being of their voice through approaching the body as a whole. My ongoing research support me in creating spaces for the full potential and strength of voices to unfold. My singing specialises on traditional, polyphonic Greek and Eastern European songs.
In 2016, I founded the Moving Voice Laboratory, a space for actors, dancers, performers and makers to explore relationships between choreography and text. The laboratory has been running successfully since 2016 and has had ongoing support by the Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow.
SBC THEATRE:
I have been working with Stand and Be Counted Theatre since 2017. My work within the company involves facilitating creative (moving, voicing, speaking, acting, playing) spaces for people seeking sanctuary, making theatre with and for those seeking sanctuary in the UK, creating and touring professional work and offering consultancy on engagement with those seeking sanctuary in the UK.
